Control your Desires

"Your desires are the enemy of your intellect."

After reading the above line I thought about it very deeply and after much time I concluded that it is true. We all should control our desires because all of the wishes of us are not very useful for us, not only for us, it is for all our society. But how, the question has been raised. Now take an example for an instant, If you are thinking about your enemy you would wished that you could kill him, now you can see that it is your desire and if you don't control it, so the day will come when you will be sitting on the chest of your enemy and killing him with a dagger. The person who were killed is not only a single person he was a whole society or whole humanity.

This is only a single example that how can your desires are harmful for your personality.
